We are proud to announce that after completing their rigorous application and evaluation program, Sillycow Farms Hot Chocolate received official certification as being Non-GMO from The Non-GMO Project. The Non-GMO Project is a mission-driven nonprofit organization offering a third-party non-GMO verification program to the standard consumers expect.

An independent study by Consumer Reports found the Non-GMO Project Verified seal to be the only “highly meaningful” label for consumers looking to avoid GMOs 1. The credibility that comes with Non-GMO Project verification will allow Sillycow Farms Hot Chocolates to reach a wider customer base, assuring shoppers that our brand of products meets the best practices for GMO avoidance.

Of course, this is not the first third-party certification that Sillycow Farms has earned. The brand has also been certified as Gluten-Free by The Gluten-Free Certification Organization (GFCO).

Established in 2005, The Gluten-Free Certification Organization (GFCO) is an industry program of the Gluten Intolerance Group (GIG), dedicated to providing certification services to producers of gluten-free products using quality assessment and control measures throughout production, in order to provide assurance to consumers of the safety of their foods. Sillycow Farms successfully completed the certification process several years ago and began using the organizations official symbol on all of our products.

By-the-way, all Sillycow Farms products have always been made with NO corn or high fructose syrup solids, have NO Trans fats, NO added sodium, NO artificial flavors or sweeteners, NO artificial growth hormones (rBST); they are also non-dairy and Nut and Peanut Free.
